Any type of meditation technique teaches you to be relaxed but aware. For me, it is impossible to do when people are around and I am not comfortable. If its cold, all I think about is that it is cold. If my butt hurts from sitting on a hard floor, all I can think about it my butt hurting. Funny, but while any yoga mat will help, for me, I got the thickest one I could find!

Keyword luv is very good for attracting free content to your blog since web site owners will want to comment on your blog to get backlinks. But it could also attract spamming.

Thanks for stopping by. There are definitely a number of things one should consider when shopping fo yoga mats.

  8. Neal from Hemp Clothing on January 26, 2010 7:51 pm

I prefer eco friendly yoga mats in order to keep the environment clean. After being eco friendly the next two things I consider are whether or not the mat is “sticky” and how thick the mat is.

  9. brdwlk on January 27, 2010 2:46 pm

I prefer to be as eco friendly as possible too. Both yoga Direct and Barefoot Yoga have great selections ofeco-friendly mats!

I never use a yoga mat, I always use a blanket that I just fold a few times. Many people use really thick mats though.

I am amazed how popular yoga as become in the last few years. I remember when it was all the craze a couple of decades ago. A lot of my friends are doing Hot Yoga, and I am anxious to give it a try. A really non-slippery good mat will be a must!

The fact of the matter is that yoga has been around much longer than any of us. It does tend to go through trends of high and low popularity in the western world but I doubt that the same is true in the east.

Actually, I know that inl the far east, yoga is a passion and a lifestyle that never slows or diminishes.

There is a variety in the quality of yoga mats. I have a mat that is about half an inch thick, while I have seen others that are thicker or thinner.

just wondering will google sand box your website if they find that all your backlinks are from keyword luv?, as isnt keyword luv cheating the system, for example if I get a 1000 backlinks from keyword luv blogs that’s unrelated to my site would google still rank my site higher ?

Great site and good information on discount yoga mats! I’ve taken a few yoga classes over the years and recently tried Bikram (Hot) yoga. I’m 52, so it was really a challenge for me, but I made it through the entire 90 minutes and it was an incredible workout! My yoga mat is an eco-friendly mat and it inspired me to create a site on eco yoga mats.

I have been doing yoga for over a year now. The first three months I didn’t have a mat. It wasn’t a big deal, but a little uncomfortable. When I did get my mat it was al ot better to go through the excerises. I would suggest that you get one it you don’t already have one.

If anyone attempts to start yoga while pregnant, make sure that you have (a) your Dr’s permission and (b) a qualified teacher. Then lastly, a very comfortable Yoga mat. There are a wide variety to choose from so don’t be afraid to give a few a trial before purchasing.

I noticed some comments that yoga provides a cardio workout? Is that accurate? I know there are different yoga forms, but the yoga I’ve seen on television and what have you seems to put the emphasis on stretching and flexibility more than getting the heart rate up.
